ABSTRACT

The study aims to explore consumer profiles in Sabah and Selangor states. Twenty (20) informants from selected business categories are being identified and interviewed using a semi-structured question and online video and phone recording due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Two (2) themes have been identified: Food category and Business criteria. Under the food category: categories of food and type of food. While under the business criteria: experience, customer, and type of business. Entrepreneurs from both states must adapt to the changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic by implementing new methods to sustain their business life.

ABSTRACT

The study aims to explore local entrepreneurs' profile criteria during covid 19 pandemic in Sabah and Selangor states. Two (2) themes have been identified for this study which are 1) Food category and 2) Business criteria. Twenty (20) informants from selected business categories are being identified and interviewed using a semi-structured question and online video and phone recording due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The finding shows that entrepreneurs from both states share similarities in food categories and customer backgrounds. They also implement technology such as online delivery applications to sustain their business during the Covid-19 pandemic.

ABSTRACT

The existence of small-scale food enterprises helps a lot in increasing the country's income, as well as providing many employment opportunities to the community. This study was to examine how small-scale food entrepreneurs strive to survive in the enterprise when faced with the effects of COVID-19. Factor analysis was used to form the resilience factor and descriptive analysis was used to look demography, resilience practices, and to analyze the assistance in improving entrepreneurial resilience. This study has developed resilience factors and improved resilience. The government needs to be vigilant in providing the assistance needed by entrepreneurs to rehabilitate businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

ABSTRACT

New advances in the era of digital disruption have brought changes from the conventional era to the digital era during the Covid-19 pandemic. The changes have impacted on the economic industry and government as well as the emergence of new businesses from innovators to make strategies through digital platforms. This study aims to evaluate the protection of Copyright Law through the Over-The-Top platform from the perspective of Indonesian positive law and how the regulations and practices of using copyright objects on the Over-The-Top digital platform in breaking the cycle of Covid-19 pandemic. This study applies a normative juridical method, by providing explanations based on the provisions of the applicable law. Additionally, this study also utilizes a comparative juridical method by comparing several regulations. The results of this study indicate that, firstly, in Indonesia until recently, there has been no adequate regulation on the Over-The-Top Digital Platforms as well as changes in Digital Transformation based on Cyber law in Indonesia. Secondly, during the Covid-19, there have been many benefits from the digital platforms since the Government implemented the Work From Home policy. These platforms can be used to continue carrying out activities from home. Further, these platforms are also useful in breaking the Covid-19 cycle in Indonesia. © 2021. All Rights Reserved.

ABSTRACT

Traditional food represents the cultural identity that becomes income sources for Small and Mid-size enterprises (SMEs) entrepreneurs in Sabah. The sudden presence of the COVID-19 since March 2020 has impacted traditional food entrepreneurs. This research examines what strategies SMEs entrepreneurs are implementing. Factor Analysis is used to analyse 21 parameters of a new norm for the traditional food business. This study succeeded in developing three dimensions: enhancing existing business, new norm business and improving business skills. Entrepreneurs need to prepare strategies to meet new business norms. Support from the government and various agencies is required to enhance SME entrepreneurs' business capabilities.
